Kids Own Worship (KOW)
At SoPines UMC, we recognize that children 3-7 years of age are just learning about worship. To bridge the gap from nursery to family worship, we offer "Kids' Own Worship" every Sunday during the 9:00 and 11:15 services, except on Communion Sundays. Following the Children's Message in our worship service, the children will exit to KOW. We have intentionally structured this time as an actual worship service for children. During KOW, children experience and learn liturgy designed for them. They will learn songs and liturgy, similar to our worship services. There is no KOW on the first Sunday of each month; kids up to age 5 are welcome in the nursery. The children are invited to participate in the sacrament of Communion this Sunday. We hope that children will find adult worship more meaningful as a result of their worship experience in KOW.
"FX" Family Experience @ 10:15 AM
2nd Sunday each Month - Fellowship Hall
"FX" Family Experience is part of the new Orange curriculum and is still a way for families to learn about God together. Each month we will focus on a new way to incorporate our faith at home while singing songs and learning scripture, all while having a fun fellowship with our kids!
Sunday School
Sunday school for children is an essential time of learning and socialization. At SoPines UMC, we believe that Sunday school should be a fun and safe place to learn about God's love for each child and all of the world. The curriculum and environment must be appropriate for success. Add to that dedicated teachers who care about sharing the love of God with children and Sunday school becomes a great time of spiritual formation and growth. For children under three years of age, the nursery is available. Sunday school classes are available for all children over three years old. There are three children's Sunday school classes offered at SPUMC: 3-4 yrs old, K-2nd grade, and 3rd-5th grade.

Sunday Night Live (SNL) @ 4:30 PM
Ages 3yrs to 5th grade
SNL is our evening program for children during the school year that follows Children's Choir @ 4:30 PM.
Everyone will gather in the Fellowship Hall and have a simple meal before we split into two groups for a fun evening filled with fellowship and bible lessons. We will have a sign-up sheet for families to help provide a SIMPLE meal for the kiddos each week.
