Children's Ministries
VBS!Mark your calendars to join us for VBS ’10 – “SeaQuest” during the week of June 21-25! At SeaQuest the kids will search their hearts and lives to find TRUE treasures. It is time to register your children for VBS! Please pick up a form in the narthex or the church office and return it no later than June 1st in order to ensure a slot for your child. Pre-registration is very important so we have enough supplies for a memorable week of treasure seeking! Children K-5th grade – We encourage you to bring a friend! Please make sure you sign them up, as well! All preschool children (2-4) must be a part of our congregation or preschool so that they are familiar with our teachers and our programming. Kid's Bible Extravaganza (KBE)
KBE meets the second Wednesday of the month from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The program consists of a light supper, games, crafts, music, a Bible lesson, and occasionally an extra event. This exciting program is for children 4 years old through fifth grade. Parents rotate providing meals and leading events. We look forward to seeing you there.
Kids Own Worship (KOW)
KOW is a worship education program for children ages 3-7 held during
the last half of the Sunday 11 a.m. worship service. We ecnourage
children of all ages to join us in the sanctuary for the beginning of
worship. KOW begins after the children's sermon. This program helps to
prepare children for full participation in worship.
Kids For Christ (KFC)
KFC is SPUMC's newest children's program for Sunday evenings.
Children ages 3 years through 5th grade are invited to come at 5:00 to
Reeves Hall to share in a meal followed by praise and worship music (we
suggest a $3 donation for dinner). Or children can be dropped off at
5:45 p.m. in the Sanctuary to enjoy meeting some puppet friends, singing
cool songs with Mr. Tory, and don't forget the most important part, the
Bible lesson! Be in the narthex at 7:00 pm to pick up your child(ren)
and hear all the exciting happenings of the evening! We hope your child(ren)
will be a part of this wonderful program.
Child Development Center
Available for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30. Developmentally appropriate learning activities are provided in a nurturing and safe environment. All of our teachers have degrees in education and provide the very best of instruction and care for our children. Pre-registration is required. For more information, please click here.
