We are in need of 13 men to help us recreate a Living Last Supper for our Maundy Thursday worship service this year. Each man should be willing to dress in biblical costume and memorize a short monologue. Costumes will be supplied.
You must also be available for one rehearsal on Sunday, April 14th at 3pm and the Maundy Thursday worship service on April 18th at 7pm.
If you are willing to participate or may possibly be interested but have questions, please contact or email our choir director, David Smith (firstname.lastname@example.org)
The Music Ministry at SPUMC welcomes guests and new friends and is always interested in sharing the gift of music as we sing His praises!
SoPinesUMC Music Ministry is a comprehensive inter-generational program that serves as an integral part of the worship and discipleship ministry of Southern Pines United Methodist Church.
The adult musical groups include Chancel Choir, Praise Band, Mixed Ensemble, Men's Ensemble, Women's Ensemble and Handbells. Upon request, we are always eager to create new opportunities for ensembles and solo work for vocalists and instrumentalists.
The youth participate in a youth praise band and children who are in 1st-5th-grade sing in a children's choir. A SPUMC Music event during the school year is the weekly Sunday Night Live, SNL, program or pre-school aged students. Come to share a meal, praise and worship songs, fellowship, games, choir practices, community outreach, and meaningful ways to dive deeper into our faith. Children and Youth Music
So, whether you have a 5-year-old child or are 91 yourself, please come by to make music with us.
No experience is needed; only a joy of serving our church in a music community where laughter and love are equally important as the music we make.
