The Susanna Wesley Circle wishes to say thank you to the congregation for supporting the Chili Lunch. Sunday, Jan. 27th was a BIG day. The chili sale earned $750. Last year we gave a total of $1,000 to several missions. We supported the Boy’s & Girl’s Club, CityWell, Family Promise, Family Resource Center in Robbins, Zoe, Life Care Pregnancy Center, Homeless and at-risk students of Pinecrest, Union Pines, andNorth Moore High Schools. We also contributed to the SPUMC Pastor’sDiscretionary Fund, SPUMC Vacation Bible School, SPUMC Food Pantry, Moore Free Care Clinic, and Our Daily Bread Devotionals for distribution to nine local nursing facilities.

United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. As a member of the Southern Pines United Methodist Church, each woman is automatically a member of UMW. While many women serve in a variety of functions within the church, each one is invited and encouraged to also become active in one of its Circles.
Susannah Wesley Circle
Circle members meet at the church in Reeve's Hall on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. A devotional begins the meeting followed by a business meeting offering opportunities to participate in fundraisers for local and district missions served with refreshments. Projects include our famous Chili Luncheon, supporting the Peru Mission by collecting needed items, delivering the Daily Bread devotional to area nursing facilities, soup and cake sales, Angel Tree family adoption, providing snacks for Vacation Bible School, and volunteering to help in the church when needs arise. Co-leaders Mikey Delle and Shirley Shank welcome you to attend a meeting and share Christian fellowship among women. For more information about the Susannah Wesley Circle, contact Mikey, email@example.com.
Women's Bible Study
All women are welcomed to attend the Women's Bible Study held throughout the year. These gatherings are opportunities for women of different ages to dig into Scripture and discover what God's Word is saying to them at this time in each of their lives. Relevant information about an upcoming study will be in the weekly uConnect insert.
Sermon on the Mount (Wed. 9-11 AM Feb. 6 - Apr. 3)
The "Sermon on the Mount" is one of Jesus' longest sermons, but we often hear about it in chunks (Beatitudes, Lord's Prayer, etc.). The study will focus on the entire sermon as Jesus challenges us to think differently about what's important. There is a minimal cost of $13 for the study guide by Jen Wilken. Child care is available, be let the know when registering for the study. Contact Danielle Carter to register (firstname.lastname@example.org or 931-265-0518)
