The Youth at SPUMC is a vibrant group of young people learning what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ within the community. What is gained and practiced in this community helps provide the foundation for their life of discipleship as maturing young people in pursuit of Jesus.
Wherever youth happen to be in their faith journey, still asking questions about whether Jesus is really who Christian's claim Jesus is or deeply committed followers of Jesus, SPUMC Youth Group is a safe place for them to be themselves, with all of life's hard questions. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at SPUMC. We welcome your interest.
On Sunday Nights at 5:30 pm, all students in grades 6th through 12th grade are invited to join us in the youth room for our weekly gatherings. Dinner is provided by a family each week, and we spend time enjoying fellowship with each other, playing games, and having a lesson each week. It is an excellent time for the youth to bond with each other as a body of Christ. We focus on strengthening our relationships with Christ and learn what it means to live a Christian life. We also participate in various service projects, special events, trips and fundraisers throughout multiple times of the year.
Our Sunday School is split up between Junior High (6th through 8th grade) and Senior High (9th through 12th grade). The Junior High meet in the RH-1 Classroom, and the Senior High meets in the youth room. Each week, both classes spend time studying the word of God in efforts to increase their knowledge of the Bible while also strengthening their relationship with Jesus Christ.
